This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Responsibilities:

Flight begins with you at Spirit AeroSystems, a place where you can explore your interests and grow your career by working on impactful projects.  As a Logistics intern you can expect to:

• Set up/Optimize Shipping Dashboard
  • Develop/Improve automated crate ordering system to ship items
• Set up/Optimize Four Winds MOS boards
• Set up/Optimize ordering tool for Sealant
• Tracking of parts/rolling stock – via FloorSight program.  (Logistics portion)
  • Clean up eTOT database of all rolling stock
• Automate Reclamation bidding process
• Understand Crib Master reporting and accountabilities to automate Tool Crib Processes

Looking for new ways of automating many processes in Logistics. Must have excel capabilities, communication, and presentation skills. They will document the AS – IS process, research new innovative way of improving the process, and implementing the new process.

Also, should you be selected as a 2026 Spirit AeroSystems Summer Intern, you will have exposure to several activities including:

• Multiple Manufacturing Plant Tours
• Professional development workshops
• Project Expo (An opportunity to present an intern project for Executive Leaders)
• Social/Networking Events

Requirements:

• You must be a US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident)
• You must be enrolled full time in a university degree program aligned to the area of internship.
• You must be a current sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student in good academic standing.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
