The F-22 Raptor Team is seeking a Design and Analysis Engineer (Mid-Level) in Berkeley, MO or Richardson, TX to join the F-22 Raptor Mission Design and Analysis Team with a focus on developing cutting edge engineering solutions to advance the world’s premier air superiority fighter.

As a Design and Analysis Engineer (Mid-Level), you will be responsible for developing engineering solutions for the F-22 Raptor, including both enhancing existing field units with the addition of new capabilities, as well as architecting and testing completely new systems. In this role, you will be joining a cross-functional team to progress our products through the development lifecycle. Tasks include developing requirements to support customer needs, designing a networked architecture to enable new capabilities, and authoring test plans and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Responsible Engineers, customer technical staff, suppliers, and Lockheed Martin teammates to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for F-22 avionics sub-systems and weapon system architecture

  • Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware, and software designs, and interface specifications in support of lab and operational environments

  • Define verification procedures for critical tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements

  • Review test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 5+ years of related work experience and a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical education

  • Ability to obtain F-22 Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options

  • Capable of traveling 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, engaging with multiple teams and being responsive to agile requirements and critical path customer need dates

  • Experience in avionics, electrical, and/or a mission systems role

  • Experience with agile development methodologies

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Berkeley, MO: $107,100-$144,900

Richardson, TX: $114,750-$155,250
