We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer (Lead or Senior) to join our dynamic engineering team in Albuquerque, NM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and testing electrical systems for various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop electrical systems designs ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and regulations

  • Utilize Xpedition/Mentor Graphics software to produce detailed schematics and layouts

  • Conduct electrical analysis, simulations, and testing to validate designs and ensure performance specifications are met

  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on electrical systems

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all project requirements are met

  • Assist in project planning and scheduling, ensuring timely delivery of engineering solutions

  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical design and analysis

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and quality

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Experience with digital circuit design and Xpedition experience (Mentor Graphics)

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical design and analysis, preferably in optical or aerospace systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • Cadence experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills    

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., MIL, IEEE, IPC)
