Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for an Associate or Mid-level Engineer to join our team in Mesa, AZ.

Vertical Lift Attack Engineering is looking for an Mechanical System Design and Analysis Engineer to support the Environmental Control System (ECS) team. The ECS team is responsible for the design and support of Vapor Cycle Cooling and Pressurized Air Systems on Attack Platforms.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design and support of ECS components

  • Design of future ECS components

  • Ability to interface with and communicate with technical and non-technical teams

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

  • 1+ year’s Industry experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Vapor Cycle Cooling Systems and/or Pressurized Air Systems

Typical Education:

Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
