This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). • Facilitate workshops and partner with production, quality and engineering teams to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Collaborate with MES developers, IT, and system integrators to design, test, and validate changes before deployment.
  • Analyze existing manufacturing fabrication and assembly processes to identify opportunities for digital optimization within the MES environment.
  • Develop and champion proposals to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve data accuracy for manufacturing, quality and IT.
  • Use knowledge of software development life cycle to develop the functional solution design, create test data, maintain test scripts, execute functional tests and document system changes.
  • Support MES integration with ERP, engineering and other IT systems to ensure end-to-end traceability and data consistency.
  • Work directly with executives, managers, end-users and IT to provide status updates, ensuring cross-functional alignment and strong relationships.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and work well with a team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, MIS or related field of study.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in functional design, business analysis, data analysis, or a related role within an aerospace or complex manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of manufacturing execution and quality systems and processes such as assembly, work instructions, quality inspections, and material traceability.
  • Ability to perform 24x7 on-call rotation.
  • Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a 'US Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, process design and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to document requirements, perform gap analyses, develop as-is/to-be process maps and support system implementations.
  • Ability to interpret complex concepts and translate them into solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Functional knowledge of Dassault Systèmes Delmia Apriso or equivalent Manufacturing Execution and Quality system.
  • Proficiency with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio) and data analysis (e.g., Excel pivot tables and advanced formulas).
