The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking multiple Project Engineer (Senior or Lead) to join the team based in St. Charles, MO or Saint Louis, MO.

In the role of International Execution Project Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day program execution, interfacing with a group of USG partners and international end users. This customer-facing role is focused on sustaining and expanding the Direct Attack (DA) JDAM and SDB product families capability in multiple foreign armed forces.

As a part of the Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SIWS) organization, and within Precision Engagement Systems (PES), DA is a dynamic and growing team with leadership that is focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions. Position Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the U.S. Air Force Program Executive Office, various international customers, and Boeing International in-country representatives

  • Partnering with internal departments on contract performance using Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and Earned Value Management (EVM)

  • Managing deliverables by defining plans for risk mitigation, issues, and opportunities; and monitoring baseline plans to assess project performance, productivity, and lessons learned

  • Establishing priorities based on customer needs; and providing technical, business, and integration leadership for the development and execution of the project plans

  • Communicating regularly with customers, responding to customer verbal and written actions, including leading proposal development efforts, and developing Statements of Work (SOW) to satisfy ongoing and new business requirements

  • Ensuring that the customer has a fully supported weapon system by reviewing pre-contract requirements, supporting negotiations, and ensuring the contract final form meets the needs of the U.S. Air Force, the International Customers, and Boeing. Utilizing both Foreign Military Sale (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) business models

  • Hosting Program Management Review meetings with USG stakeholders and International Customers, including preparation of agenda and presentation materials, presenting materials, and ensuring the total program status has been communicated

  • Traveling domestically and/or internationally to support program execution (up to 25% of the time)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required

  • 5+ years of experience providing technical leadership or project management to cross-functional engineering projects

  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and product development processes

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities

  • Experience with risk management, cost control, and schedule management

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance

  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience conducting international business and actively maintaining export compliance under ITAR and/or EAR

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Project management experience in an engineering environment

  • Experience in acquisition, operation, or sustainment of weapon systems, command-launch systems, or complex Test and Support Equipment

  • Working directly with government customers, US and foreign

  • Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders, and work under tight deadlines with competing priorities

  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project or similar) and engineering software

Summary pay range for Senior (Level 4): $129,200.00 - $174,800.00

Summary pay range for Lead (Level 5): $154,700.00 - $209,300.00
