Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for an Associate/Experienced Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team Phantom Works teams in Hazelwood, MO.

Phantom Works programs develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
  • Support test execution and analyses/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
  • Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
  • Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
  • Work under general supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Level 2: Understanding of airplane structure/systems, loading and environment, certification, design and manufacturing requirements, stress analysis processes, material strengths and properties and proficiency with stress analysis tools. 
  • Level 3: Well versed in loads development, material strengths and properties, design and manufacturing requirements, sizing and analysis processes and a mastery of stress analysis tools.  Required to develop conclusions and provide recommendations that drive solutions. Level 3 engineers should be capable of lead engineering roles.

Summary pay range Level 2: $76,500 - $103,500

Summary pay range Level 3: $95,200 - $128,800
