Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Threat Analyst to join our team in Arlington, VA.

As Senior Threat Analyst, you will be part of the team that delivers threat assessments to address a variety of military needs across the Department of Defense.  Observations derived from the assessments will be used to inform Boeing Defense investments and drive Phantom Works capture strategy.  To assist with this effort, you will have industry-leading and customer-recognized resources of the Boeing Virtual Warfare Center (VWC) at your disposal, as well as access to the brightest minds across a multitude of engineering disciplines.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Level 4 or Level 5 Senior Threat Analyst.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Gather timely intelligence of threat systems and capabilities from government sources

  • Lead the development of complex threat assessments

  • Develop realistic defense missions to inform operations analysis experimentation

  • Interface with government customers and internal Boeing Business Units to guide business and operational decision making

  • Communicate and present informative results to stakeholders, internal and external to Boeing

  • Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 5 or more years of experience working with analytical data, including generating operational briefings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 5: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance

  • Master's or Doctor of Philosophy (e.g., Ph.D.) degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology

  • Experience in National Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, Political Science, Research Methodology, or any other comparable fields

  • Experience in a military or intelligence officer role (operational planning, targeting, collection management, or similar)

  • Experience with simulation, modeling tools, designing, running, or adjudicating wargames, red/blue exercises, or operational simulations

  • Experience applying operations analysis techniques (modeling, simulation, trade-space/risk analysis) to inform operational decisions

  • Prior or current systems operations experience and/or knowledge and familiarity with military missions

  • Strong understanding of adversary behaviors across multiple domains

  • Experience working with classified reporting channels and knowledge of interagency/intelligence community standards and formats

  • Experience conducting detailed threat research and performed analysis to extract meaningful insights

  • Experience producing intelligence products or operational briefings for senior leaders

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience briefing senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders

Summary Pay Range for Level 4:  $146,200 – $197,800

Summary Pay Range for Level 5:  $176,800 – $239,200
