Role summary: We are seeking an experienced Test Analyst to support structured testing activities across Payroll and HRMS (e.g., Workday, CloudPay, Peoplesoft, Aurion or equivalent) and adjacent corporate HR systems. The successful candidate will partner with HR stakeholders to translate business processes into test cases, design and execute manual and automated tests, and integrate test activities into Azure DevOps (ADO) Test Plans to ensure traceability, auditability, and robust defect management in a regulated aerospace and defence environment.

About the Role:

  • Implement and maintain automation scripts using Selenium or equivalent frameworks where appropriate.

  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation (test plans, cases, results, defect records) to support compliance and audit requirements.
  • Participate in test planning, status updates, retrospectives and cross-functional ceremonies; provide testing input to change and release decisions.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, automation coverage and toolchains in partnership with Test Manager and engineers.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Proven experience in testing Payroll and HRMS systems in regulated or complex enterprise environments (Workday / Peoplesoft / Aurion or similar).
  • Hands‑on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium) and scripting to support automation of key end‑to‑end scenarios.
  • Practical experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) Test Plans / Test Management features for test case management, execution and defect tracking.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC, with experience in functional, regression, integration and system testing.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder collaboration skills with experience working alongside HR operations teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile / DevOps ways of working and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet defence security requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Relevant tertiary qualification preferred (Computer Science, IT, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
