• Mechanical design of industrial automation equipment, tool & fixture, gauge, machine optimization, etc.
• Machine related project management
• Coaching of junior engineers

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Main tasks

• Mechanical design for middle level automatic machine, according to function and process requirements
• Mechanical design of complicated tool & fixture and gauge for new/ serious products
• Support of continuous improvements by user department requirements (CT reduction, process optimization, function added/ removal, new generation products, etc.)
• Detailed machine project management including meeting, communication with supplier and user department, new MAE/ MAE modification concept design, technical specification creation, detailed drawing design, open points, problem solving, documentation, schedule/ status tracking, etc.
• Safety design and ergonomics design
• Other emergency and important tasks assigned by manager

1. Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the quality, on time delivery and cost saving of mechanical design
• Be responsible for standardization of mechanical design
• Be responsible to train and coach lower grade engineers for mechanical design

1. Communication

• To communicate internally in TEF2 for resource planning and prioritization of project (Informing, convincing and negotiating)
• Communicate with internal customers for requirements, concept and tracking of project (informing, convincing and negotiating), internal customer incl. MSEx,TEF, QMM, PQA, LOG, ENG
• Communicate with external supplier for technical requirements, concept and status tracking (informing, convincing and negotiating)
• Communicate with IPN plants, ATMO and external companies for new development and standardization of  mechanical design in industrial automation area
• To present the status of a project

1. Team aspect

• Project leader for a project team, to build up or improve an equipment

Qualifications

Qualifications Requirement

• Bachelor degree or above with major in mechanical engineering or related
• With working experience >6 years in industrial automation equipment/ precise instruments designing and building up
• Fluent English speaking

Job Relevant Knowledge and Experience

• Good knowledge in industrial automation equipment  function and processes (assembly and testing, measuring equipments)
• Good knowledge in industrial automation mechatronic system design, mechanical driving system, movement transforming structure, pneumatic system etc.
• Good  knowledge in mechanical positioning, constraints, precision and tolerance, engineering material
• Good knowledge in standard mechanic components, Inventor and CAD system
• Basic knowledge in BPS/ PGL workshop utilization (LLD, Scaling, DFMA)
• Good  knowledge in machine safety, ergonomic, and MTM
• Good project management skills
• Be creative to develop new concepts and solutions according function and process requirements
