About the project 

RideCare helps mobility service providers and fleet managers run fleets more efficiently empowering them with high transparency and real-time information. RideCare uses an intelligent sensor box to detect smoking in vehicles, damage impacts, and harsh driving behavior. The service enables fleet owners to assess damages, gain full visibility into fleet conditions and enhance the customer experience, all while improving the total cost of ownership.

We are seeking an Embedded C/C++ Developer to enhance our IoT embedded system, which performs real-time machine learning inferencing on data from sensors like GPS, IMU, and microphones. You'll work with a team with full ownership of the product architecture, from low-level drivers to the application layer and cloud. This role challenges you to excel in low-level code optimization, asynchronous communication, performance engineering, and complex build systems.

 

Responsabilities

  • Review system requirements, do software requirements, design, implementation and test verification plan.
  • Champion the optimization of existing software designs and spearhead the implementation of new features to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Perform peer code reviews and develop comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the reliability and functionality of applications.
  • Utilize expert debugging and problem-solving skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex software issues, thereby enhancing system stability and performance.
  • Work closely with hardware engineers and other software developers to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware components, often leading cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering, Computer Science, or similar;
  • Experience in C/C++ programming;
  • Experience in RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS) systems;
  • Developing efficient code for systems with limited resources (e.g., small memory footprint, low power requirements);
  • Integration and debugging (JTAG or similar) of sub-system; on chip peripherals (I2C, UART, Can, SPI, etc);
  • Experience with kernel driver development;
  • Knowledge in CI/CD;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Logical thinker, with a continuous learning mindset.
