One of the main tasks of the spark plug development department is to define the right spark plug for a given internal combustion engine. For this purpose, the thermal and electrical characterization of spark plugs in real engine environments as well as the engine knowledge are of high importance. A measurement and application engineer in spark plug engineering department is responsible for the temperature, ignition voltage level and ionic current measurements as well es for the development and management of the corresponding measurement equipment. Further, he/she is the carrier of the internal combustion engine knowhow including understanding of different engine architectures and combustion processes. Frequent business trips to customer locations for measurements and technical discussions are essential for the success in this job.
The disciplinary leadership for this position will be provided locally from China, while technical objectives and their achievement will be set and evaluated by the lead engineering department located in Germany.
