Description

• Provide advice to responsible business units on questions relating to Intellectual Property, especially on patent matters;
• Determine the strategic patent goals for responsible business unit;
• Provide regular IP trainings and workshops to implement IP strategy for responsible business unit;
• Provide legal opinion regarding patent infringement, handle IP infringement case against third parties and from third parties;
• Provide support in the contract negotiation with third party, IP licensing project and M&A;
• Process Invention Reports, draft and prosecute patent applications, oppositions, and appeals;
• Manage outside attorneys on IP matters.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years experiences as patent attorney or excellent graduates with technical background in the fields of electronic engineering, software engineering, computer technology, automation or air conditioning technology; Chinese patent agent certificate holder is a plus.
• Law degree, membership in good standing with the Chinese Bar and experience in handling litigations are pluses.
• Approaches IP with a strategic mindset by anticipating future business, competitive and legal risks, and looks for creative solutions and opportunities.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills; able to simply explain complex IP issues in business terms.
• Demonstrated high integrity and ethics in all dealings, non-political in conduct, while understanding internal and external dynamics.
• Good communication skills, particularly for oral proceedings and negotiation and good internal communication skill within a multinational company;
• Quick understanding of technical and legal matters;
• Self-motivated and initiative, persuasive team worker and proactive;
• Be able to work under stress, responsive and able to prioritize multiple projects.
