We offer the ideal solution: our PreMaster Program provides practical experience to help you earn your master's degree. This means that you will gain on-the-job experience with us, which you can later expand upon academically during your studies.

As part of our System Integration & Testing Team, you will: 

  • Develop optical measurement technologies for calibration and performance characterization of innovative long-wave infrared (LWIR) sensors 
  • Design calibration methods for LWIR sensors under various stimuli and environmental conditions in a state-of-the-art lab environment
  • Support the specification of series test technologies and transfer laboratory measurement solutions into high-volume manufacturing for real-world applications
  • Characterize optical and optoelectronic components for infrared applications 

Qualifications

  • Personality: You thrive in dynamic environments, embrace ambiguity, and approach challenges with an exploratory and solution-oriented attitude
  • Working Style: You enjoy working in agile teams and take initiative in fast-paced consumer electronics setting
  • Experience: Hands-on experience in optical metrology and operation of related equipment (e.g., lasers); first programming knowledge in Python, MATLAB, or C++, including data analysis
  • Languages: Fluent in English; German is a plus
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Microsystems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Photonics Engineering, or a related field

Additional Info

The Bosch PreMaster Program (Gap Year Program) is a two-stage qualification program for committed graduates with Bachelor's degrees who want to complete a Master's degree. After the Bachelor's degree, the first phase provides up to 12 months' practical experience for familiarization with technical and business interrelationships. The second phase comprises the Master's course and includes personal mentoring on the road to successful completion.
