The Multi-domain and Control Model Integrator Engineer is responsible for developing tools, methods,
and strategies for evaluating fuel economy, acceleration performance, capability (e.g., trailer
tow), drivability, thermal management, virtual calibration, and model-in-the-loop for new
electrified propulsion systems and vehicles using advanced computer modeling techniques.
● Lead the development of proprietary frameworks and codes to analyze Electrified Propulsion
Technology.
● Perform modeling activities using first principles to develop high-complexity models.
● Integrate basic or advanced control logics governing the behavior of the physical portion of the
models embedded into proprietary frameworks and codes.
● Create pre-processing and post-processing tools and provide support to resolve issues connected to
the utilization of proprietary frameworks and codes.
● Communicate results in oral presentations and written reports to Chief Engineers, COEs, Component
Engineers, and Powertrain management.
Master of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, Automotive).
Proficiency in the English language, including both written and oral communication.
● Thorough knowledge of vehicle propulsion systems, including internal combustion engines,
transmissions, axles, drivelines, batteries, and eMotors.
● Thorough knowledge in the disciplines of hybrid control strategies and energy management
optimization.
● Knowledge of Torque Path Control strategies for hybrid and electrified propulsion systems.
● Knowledge of ECMS (Equivalent Consumption Minimization Strategy) for energy management.
● Thorough knowledge of commercial codes, including MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, GT-Suite.
● Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Teams.
Thorough knowledge in the disciplines of fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
● Experience with production controls.
● Experience with Git for version control and collaborative workflows.
● Experience with vehicle testing or data analysis.
