As a Tariff & Customs Classification Specialist you’ll be able to help shape the future of global trade compliance within our worldwide operations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a leading global organization, working at the intersection of engineering, international trade, and regulatory excellence. Your expertise will ensure our products move across borders efficiently and in full compliance with global regulations.

Your contribution to something big:

  • Classify a wide range of products, from raw materials and components to finished goods and spare parts, according to national and international tariff schedules;
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and product management teams to gather technical specifications and documentation for accurate classification;
  • Engage with colleagues across multiple countries and support Foreign Trade functions, ensuring consistent compliance in different jurisdictions;
  • Stay ahead of evolving customs regulations and classification standards, proactively adapting to changes in global trade legislation.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

Experience & Know-how

  • Proven experience in trade compliance or product engineering (1 to 3 years);
  • Solid understanding of tariff classification principles and practices;
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and product documentation;
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, GTS, or MIC is a plus.

Languages

  • Proficiency in English required and German is a plus.

Working Style and Methods

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills;
  • Collaborative mindset with clear communication;
  • Proactive with team-oriented approach.
