Join us for your placement year in summer 2026! Our internships are designed to give you an insight into what it's like to work for a world-renowned brand with a culture of support and community.

We develop jigs and tools to ensure consistency in manufacturing so each and every product is up to the highest quality standards. Ergonomic and Health and Safety requirements are also taken into account in development to protect employees from injury. We also provide technical support in day to day fault finding using problem solving and rapid prototyping processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing jigs and fixtures as required in order to ensure on time delivery based on manufacturing requirements using CAD softwares
  • The production of engineering drawings to internal and external suppliers for fabrication
  • On site development of layout to improve production processes and facilities.
  • Selection and ordering of material and components using in house processes.
  • Collaborate with Development Department for fabrication to ensure on time delivery based on Manufacturing Department requirements. 
  • Testing and maintaining torque tools according to manufacturing standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by supporting cost reduction, lead time reduction, and process/product optimization through Lean Manufacturing principles and collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Ensure safe, reliable, and environmentally-friendly processes on the shop floor, in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.

Qualifications

Please note that to be eligible for this role, you must be an undergraduate student seeking a placement year as part of your degree - if you do not meet these criteria please consider applying for other positions.

Our ideal candidate must have:

  • Knowledge of CAD or equivalent, preferably 3D solid modelling (Fusion360, Solidworks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD)

Our ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience with 3D printing
  • Able to work well with others
  • Work under own initiative
  • Cope with deadlines

Working Hours: 39 hours per week – standard working pattern of 07:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a 30-minute unpaid lunchbreak and 07:00 – 12:00 Friday
