Job Description

Act as a subject matter expert, setting the strategic vision for the in vitro pharmacology team and ensuring the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and approaches. This includes staying current on the latest advancements in screening methodologies. Oversee and guide the design, optimization, and validation of cellular, biochemical and biophysical assays to support target identification, high-throughput screening (HTS), and lead optimization. Lead and manage hit generation, screening and molecular profiling activities for multiple drug discovery programs across different therapeutic areas. Work extensively in a matrix environment, collaborating with various departments such as medicinal chemistry, biology, computational sciences, and toxicology to advance drug discovery pipelines. Ensure the generation of high-quality data and use advanced software for data analysis, archiving, and interpretation to guide program decisions. Manage and lead a multi-disciplinary team of scientists across biochemistry and cellular pharmacology groups to impact and progress an exciting and innovative portfolio of novel therapeutics Supervise multiple PhD and advanced leaders and scientists within their teams. Management of technology infrastructure, future innovation and strategy.
