Job Description

Collaborate with experience employees in the Data Science group on projects applicable to: Application Development: Design and implement lightweight web applications to support data science workflows, including tools for parsing, examining, and cleaning clinical datasets. Visualization: Develop interactive visualization platforms to investigate complex datasets, identify patterns and anomalies, and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Workflow Optimization: Build scheduling and resource management tools to track project assignments, deadlines, and team capacity, enabling more efficient workload distribution when new projects are initiated. Integration and Automation: Incorporate automation into routine processes, such as data ingestion, validation, and reporting, to reduce manual effort and improve reproducibility across projects. Participate in the BMS Intern Program activities and presented work at greater team meetings and scientific poster sessions. Work-life programs include paid national holidays and optional holidays, Global Shutdown Days between Christmas and New Year's holiday, up to 120 hours of paid vacation, up to two (2) paid days to volunteer, sick time off, and summer hours flexibility. Supporting People with Disabilities Currently enrolled in either Graduate or PhD program with a graduation date later than August 2026. Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript. Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as React, or Angular. Experience with backend development using tools such as FastAPI, Flask, or Node.js. Exposure to data visualization libraries or frameworks (e.g., Plotly) for building interactive dashboards. All candidates must be authorized to work in the US both at the time of hire and for the duration of their employment.
