Position Summary The Hematology Translational Medicine group seeks a talented and highly motivated graduate student interested in a summer internship that offers hands-on translational research experience in a team-oriented, fast paced environment. The student, working closely with a mentor, will be assigned an exciting data science project to understand how tumor genomics drives hematological malignancies. During the 10-week internship, the student will develop their bioinformatic experience, critical thinking, application of genomics research to clinical drug development, data/literature analysis, and presentation/verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will have enthusiasm for working with genomic data and for learning how to analyze critical clinical questions. The full-time internship will take place June - August 2026. Key Responsibilities Actively contribute to experimental design and execution of a translational project, which is aligned with Hematology Translational Medicine Participate in BMS student internship requirements Literature/data review to understand project context, impact and timely communication of data Present internship project to the Translational Medicine group at the conclusion of the internship Qualifications & Experience Current graduate student majoring in field related to biomedical data sciences (Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Data Science) Interpersonal and collaboration skills, including the willingness and ability to foster working relationships with a range of stakeholders and work independently. Flexibilities to changing priorities. Prior experience in analyzing genomic data and data analysis is preferred. On-site attendance at least 50% of time All candidates must be authorized to work in the US both at the time of hire and for the duration of their employment. Please note that immigration or visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Available full-time (40hrs/week) throughout the internship period (early June through mid-August). This is a temporary, time-bound position intended for the duration of the internship or co-op program. Employment in this role does not imply or guarantee ongoing or permanent employment with BMS. The starting hourly compensation for this assignment is within the range of $29.00 to $35.00/hr.
