Role Overview

As a Business Systems Analyst 1 on the Product Management Team within Cloud Engineering at Choice Hotels, you'll play a pivotal role in bridging business needs and technical solutions. Based in our state-of-the-art Scottsdale, Arizona technology center, this four-day onsite hybrid position reports to the Director of Cloud Engineering. You'll partner with stakeholders to uncover pain points, translate them into actionable projects, and serve as the Voice of the Customer. Ideal for collaborative, driven, customer-centric professionals with agile experience, this individual contributor role offers collaboration with two peer teammates and cross-functional departments. Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic position, your impact will be felt through hands-on involvement in the product lifecycle:

• Gain a solid understanding of customer requirements and gaps via discussions, observations, and in-depth analysis.
• Collaborate closely on crafting and refining project scopes and requirements to ensure seamless execution.
• Act as the essential Voice of the Customer, guiding technical teams to deliver solutions that meet real-world needs.
• Facilitate diverse meetings, from discovery sessions and design workshops to project planning and review cadences.
• Identify critical connections between systems, pinpoint dependencies, and proactively assess risks or impacts.
• Author clear, concise user stories, epics, and initiatives that vividly define success criteria for development teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek candidates who bring a blend of education, experience, and competencies to thrive in our fast-paced tech environment:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 1 year in agile software development or infrastructure development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong skills in flow diagram tools like LucidChart, feature mapping with Stories on Board, and Jira for agile workflows.
• Key competencies: Drives Results, Communicates Effectively, and Collaborates seamlessly.
