We're seeking two talented Brand Designers (Contract) with immediate availability to start on 8th December in Sydney/Melbourne. One Brand ID Designer (8 Dec – 30 Jan) and one Brand Experiential Designer (8 Dec – 15 March) to join our Creative Team. In this onsite role within Canva Brand Studio, you'll design assets for graphics, comms, print, swag, motion, and more, while developing guidelines and toolkits. Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Leadership, Experiential, and Vibe teams to ensure our brand shines consistently across all touchpoints. From ideation workshops and prototyping to unforgettable executions, you'll work with writers, animators, and videographers to create hype reels, presentations, and activations that connect with global audiences. Key Responsibilities

  • Design creative assets for new brand graphics, company-wide comms, brand identity, experiential assets, print, and swag
  • Develop design guidelines and toolkits to support scalable brand projects
  • Conceptualise and ideate diverse branded content across print, experiential, digital, and motion executions
  • Collaborate with writers, designers, animators, videographers, and cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Leadership)
  • Contribute to creative concepts and asset rollout for company events and activations with Experiential and Vibe teams
  • Participate in conceptual workshops, brainstorming, sketching, prototyping, and ideation for video production
  • Produce impactful designs for product launches, brand campaigns, hype reels, and high-profile presentations
  • Ensure brand consistency and cohesion across all external projects and consumer touchpoints
  • Guide junior team members through established feedback processes and provide informal mentorship
  • Align closely with diverse teams to respond to a wide variety of briefs with fresh, inspiring ideas
  • Maintain high level of craft while evolving with Canva's scaling change and innovative DNA

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a forward-thinking brand design role with strong visual storytelling capabilities
  • Advanced proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Affinity, and Canva
  • Demonstrated portfolio showcasing strong brand design principles, modern aesthetic, creative thinking, and attention to detail
  • Experience in both static and motion design across print, digital, experiential, and motion formats
  • Ability to balance conceptual ideation with high-craft execution from toolkit to completion
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
