We're seeking a Brand Media Lead, EMEA to drive awareness, consideration, and high-value customer attraction across UK, France, Italy, and Spain. Reporting to the Global Head of Brand Media, you'll oversee all brand media efforts, manage local agency teams, and collaborate with EMEA Marketing, Creative, Performance Marketing, Data & Analytics, and more in our fast-paced, innovative environment based at our buzzing London campus in Shoreditch. In this role, you'll thrive by shaping user-centric media strategies that amplify Canva's design magic, optimizing for efficiency, local relevance, and bold creativity. Lead campaigns end-to-end—from communication planning and media mix development to execution, measurement, and optimization—while fostering collaboration across boundaries. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Global Head of Brand Media to manage the media agency of record for EMEA markets
  • Develop and execute cohesive media strategies across UK, France, Italy, and Spain, optimizing for efficiency, creative execution, local relevance, and campaign objectives
  • Lead campaigns from communication strategy development through execution, reporting, and optimization
  • Manage media mix, planning, buying, performance measurement, budget allocation, online tracking, and evaluation
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with EMEA Marketing, Creative, Performance Marketing, Finance, Data & Analytics, and Comms & PR teams
  • Drive timely communication of campaign execution and performance insights to stakeholders
  • Stay ahead of emerging media trends and channels, identifying innovation opportunities to position Canva as a provocative design leader
  • Ensure media strategies amplify Canva's world-class creative activations and build the most loved brand globally
  • Analyze consumer media behaviors by market to inform user-centric, design-inspired campaigns
  • Oversee local media agency teams to deliver high-impact, scalable brand media efforts

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience at interactive, advertising or marketing agencies and/or managing media buying for a consumer internet brand in design, entertainment, technology, or lifestyle sectors
  • In-depth knowledge of all media channels with a proven track record in offline, social, and digital media efficacy
  • Experience leading media programs across Europe, including evaluating strategic media partners
  • Deep understanding of market trends, consumer segments, and brand measurement metrics/analytics
  • Ability to lead plan development from strategy to execution with minimal oversight, balancing holistic thinking and detailed execution
  • Experience managing media agency teams and budgets across multiple markets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in UK, France, Italy, and Spain media landscapes and consumer behaviors
  • Background in design or creative tech brands with a passion for visual storytelling
