In this role, you'll develop a compelling creative vision for Korea's content library, translating regional strategies into actionable plans while overseeing end-to-end creation and curation. You'll leverage data and local insights to innovate, audit performance, and fill content gaps, ensuring every asset upholds Canva's high standards of visual craft and brand alignment. Collaborating closely with Marketing, SEO, Country Managers, and global Design Ops, you'll manage freelancers, set ambitious goals, and communicate impact to leadership—all while embracing experimentation in our fast-paced, collaborative culture. You'll bring deep Korean market expertise, exceptional design craft, and strategic thinking to advocate for diverse perspectives and maintain our competitive edge. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a compelling creative vision for Canva’s content library in Korea, shaping templates, elements, and design assets that resonate locally while aligning with global strategy
  • Translate country and regional strategies into actionable content plans and locally relevant campaigns
  • Oversee end-to-end content creation, including design kits, campaign documents, creator briefs, and in-house assets
  • Curate and editorially frame content for marketing, in-product showcases, and seasonal moments to elevate local relevance
  • Leverage data, trends, and local insights to shape creative direction and inform design decisions
  • Continuously audit templates and elements to identify improvements and new content opportunities
  • Build deep knowledge of local culture and perform market-level content gap analysis
  • Set ambitious content goals, monitor project execution, and manage risks for timely outcomes
  • Collaborate with local SEO, Marketing, Country Managers, and Design Ops to align priorities
  • Oversee local freelance designers, from recruitment to output review and development
  • Monitor competitor activity and regional trends to maintain strategic edge
  • Communicate initiatives and results to senior leadership for stakeholder visibility

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in creative leadership roles with international, regional, or market-level scope
  • Exceptional visual design craft demonstrated through a strong portfolio of culturally resonant content and campaigns
  • Strong strategic thinking ability to translate country goals into actionable creative and content plans
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with professional proficiency in English for global team collaboration
  • Demonstrated strength in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, SEO, Growth, and Product teams
  • Ability to analyze performance data and apply insights to refine content direction and drive impact
  • Experience managing freelancers or creators, ensuring quality, alignment, and cultural relevance
