In this high-impact role based in our vibrant Los Angeles office (hybrid flexibility), you'll partner with executive leaders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, GTM, and People to translate complex data into beautiful, actionable stories that drive innovation and creativity at scale. As Canva continues its explosive growth, you'll spearhead strategic financial planning—including annual budgets, long-range plans, and dynamic forecasting—while championing SaaS metrics like ARR, CAC, and LTV to guide our path forward. You'll inspire a high-performing FP&A team, foster continuous improvement through AI automation and process innovation, and provide rigorous analysis for investments and acquisitions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global FP&A team fostering collaboration and innovation
• Develop and oversee annual budgets, long-range financial plans, and rolling forecasts aligned with growth goals
• Establish KPIs, analyze financial performance, and deliver actionable insights to executive leadership
• Partner with GTM, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and People teams to drive strategic decisions
• Conduct rigorous financial modeling for investments, acquisitions, and growth initiatives
• Identify process improvements and implement automation/AI tools to scale FP&A efficiency
• Prepare and present financial reports, variance analysis, and recommendations to the Board
• Monitor risks, opportunities, and trends to safeguard financial health during hypergrowth
• Champion Canva's design-focused culture by translating financial data into visual, actionable stories
• Collaborate with CFO to shape financial strategy supporting Canva's mission to democratize design

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a senior finance leader in a global, high-growth technology company
• Deep expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and advanced financial modeling
• Strong command of SaaS metrics including ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, and net retention
• Experience building and leading high-performing global FP&A teams in fast-paced environments
• Proficiency in financial systems such as NetSuite, Anaplan, and AI-driven analytics tools
• Track record of partnering with cross-functional leadership in GTM, Product, Engineering, and Marketing
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)

• Experience in both private and public companies with successful scaling journeys
• Background in creative/tech industries with understanding of design-led businesses
• Demonstrated success in M&A evaluation and strategic investment analysis
• Exposure to AI-powered financial forecasting and automation initiatives
• International experience managing distributed finance teams across time zones
