We're seeking an exceptional Global Head of FP&A to lead our world-class finance team in San Francisco, reporting directly to the CFO. As Canva accelerates through hypergrowth, you'll be a strategic partner to our executive team, delivering critical financial insights that fuel innovation across GTM, Marketing, Growth, People, Product, and Technology. With your wealth of FP&A experience in high-growth tech, you'll embed financial excellence into our collaborative, design-focused culture, turning complex data into visual stories that empower bold decisions. In this role, you'll lead a global FP&A team, crafting budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans aligned with our ambitious goals. Dive deep into SaaS metrics, partner cross-functionally to evaluate investments and M&A, and drive process automation with AI tools for scalable insights. You'll present to leadership and the Board, highlighting trends and opportunities in ways that inspire action, while fostering a team culture of creativity, continuous improvement, and fun—mirroring Canva's vibrant spirit. You'll thrive if you bring proven leadership from global tech scale-ups, mastery of financial systems like NetSuite and Anaplan, and a passion for our mission to democratize design. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global FP&A team fostering collaboration and innovation
  • Develop and oversee annual budgets, long-range financial plans, and rolling forecasts aligned with growth objectives
  • Establish KPIs, analyze financial performance, and deliver actionable insights to executive leadership
  • Partner with GTM, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Technology teams to drive strategic decisions
  • Conduct rigorous financial modeling for investments, acquisitions, and growth initiatives
  • Identify process improvements and implement automation/AI tools to scale FP&A efficiency
  • Prepare and present clear financial reports and board materials highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Champion financial excellence while embedding Canva's design-focused, creative culture in all analyses
  • Collaborate with CFO to shape overall financial strategy supporting Canva's hypergrowth
  • Monitor and optimize SaaS metrics to fuel sustainable revenue growth and profitability

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a senior finance leader within a global, high-growth technology company
  • Deep understanding of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling techniques
  • Strong command of SaaS metrics including ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, and net retention
  • Experience building and leading high-performing global FP&A teams in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as NetSuite, Anaplan, and AI-driven analytics tools
  • Track record of partnering with cross-functional leadership teams (GTM, Product, Engineering, Marketing)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in both private and public companies with successful scaling journeys
  • Demonstrated success in M&A evaluation, investment analysis, and strategic initiatives
  • Exposure to design/tech industry or creative SaaS platforms
