Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a global high-performing FP&A team fostering collaboration and innovation
  • Develop and oversee annual budgets, long-range financial plans, and rolling forecasts aligned with growth goals
  • Establish KPIs, analyze financial performance, and deliver actionable insights to executive leadership
  • Partner with GTM, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Growth teams to drive strategic decisions
  • Conduct investment analysis, M&A evaluations, and financial modeling for strategic initiatives
  • Identify process improvements and implement automation/AI tools to enhance FP&A efficiency
  • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and recommendations to the Board of Directors
  • Champion financial excellence while embedding Canva's creative, design-first culture in all analyses
  • Scale financial systems and processes to support Canva's global hypergrowth trajectory
  • Translate complex financial data into intuitive, design-inspired visuals for non-finance stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a senior finance leader in a global, high-growth technology company
  • Deep expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and advanced financial modeling
  • Strong command of SaaS metrics including ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, and net retention
  • Experience building and leading high-performing global FP&A teams in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as NetSuite, Anaplan, and AI-driven analytics tools
  • Track record of partnering with cross-functional leaders in Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA/CA or MBA preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in both private and public companies during hypergrowth phases
  • Background in design/tech SaaS companies with creative industry exposure
  • Demonstrated success scaling FP&A functions with automation and AI insights
  • Prior board-level presentation experience and executive stakeholder management
  • International finance experience across APAC, US, and EMEA regions
