Leading a team of Events & Activations Specialists, you’ll partner with Vibe, Internal Comms, Brand, Finance, and Executive Operations to create scalable, meaningful events for Canvanauts worldwide, blending strategic vision with hands-on execution. In this senior leadership role, you’ll own the full events lifecycle: from annual planning and cross-regional alignment to production, measurement, and optimization. You’ll foster a high-performing team culture of growth and accountability, develop self-service playbooks, and ensure every event reinforces our values while driving engagement and business impact. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of Events & Activations Specialists, fostering growth, accountability, and collaboration
  • Shape and execute Canva’s global internal events strategy, from milestone celebrations to cultural activations
  • Develop and manage the annual cadence and strategic plan for company-wide events aligned with Canva’s values
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of high-impact events, ensuring scalability and alignment with business goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Vibe, Internal Comms, Brand, Finance, Executive Ops) on goals, timelines, budgets, and metrics
  • Oversee implementation and optimization of events management systems, templates, processes, and playbooks
  • Partner with regional Vibe teams to deliver consistent, localized experiences
  • Provide guidance on vendor management, budget ownership, and operational best practices
  • Build self-service tools and resources to empower internal teams
  • Track and report on event success using data-driven insights to refine future strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in workplace experience, delivering large-scale, complex internal events for 100–5000+ attendees across multiple regions or time zones
  • Proven track record leading strategy and execution of multiple concurrent events, with hands-on involvement as needed
  • Deep expertise in end-to-end events operations, including logistics, communications, production, and hybrid/virtual delivery
  • Experience managing event budgets, vendors, and internal stakeholder relationships across functions
  • Demonstrated success leading and mentoring high-performing events teams
  • Strong data-driven approach to measuring event impact, engagement, and ROI
  • Experience implementing and optimizing events management platforms and processes

  • Background in creative or design-focused organizations with emphasis on culture-building through experiences
