We're seeking a Product Manager - Media Platform to own the vision and roadmap for our world-class platform that powers every design ingredient and template across devices, for 200M+ monthly active users. Based onsite at our flagship Sydney campus, you'll collaborate in our innovative, design-focused culture, driving solutions that ensure perfect reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency for images, fonts, audio, video, and templates. In this role, you'll be the central advocate for the Media Platform, engaging early with teams like Multimedia, Product Platform, and Infra to shape decisions, streamline services, and enable enterprise features like data residency. You'll identify opportunities to solve recurring challenges with extensible solutions adopted company-wide, while driving key initiatives like Digital Asset Management. Your strategic thinking and execution will free engineering capacity and accelerate Canva's creative mission. You'll thrive if you bring a strong technical background, exceptional collaboration skills, and proven success in high-growth tech environments. Experience in storage or content management is a plus. Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and priorities for the Media Platform, aligning with Canva's company-wide goals
  • Proactively engage in early-stage product discovery with other teams to represent Media Platform needs and constraints
  • Serve as the central point of contact for Product Managers across Multimedia, Teams & Education, Product Platform, Infra, and Design Experience groups
  • Advocate for adoption of Media Platform solutions to accelerate engineering and enable enterprise-critical features like data residency and per-customer encryption
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with other product teams to streamline planning and communication
  • Identify opportunities to streamline Media Platform services, maximizing impact and engineering efficiency
  • Promote innovative platform solutions that solve recurring challenges across Canva, enhancing scalability and extensibility
  • Drive discovery and delivery of key capabilities for new initiatives, such as Digital Asset Management (DAM)
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support 200M+ monthly active users with perfect reliability and cost control
  • Ensure consistent functionality for design ingredients and templates across all devices and users

Required Qualifications

  • Strong technical background with deep understanding of platforms, software development, and current technology trends
  • Proven experience defining and owning product vision, roadmap, and priorities for technical platforms
  • Track record of executing large-scale projects successfully in technical platforms, cloud services, or related areas
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong prioritization skills to manage trade-offs and focus teams on highest-impact work
  • Experience acting as central point of contact for cross-functional product teams
  • Ability to advocate for platform adoption and drive innovative solutions at scale

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth tech environments
  • Background in database, storage, or content management domains
  • Experience supporting media platforms handling templates, images, fonts, audio, and video
