As Sales Manager, SMB, based in our hybrid Austin, Texas hub, you'll lead high-performing outbound Account Executive teams, driving pipeline generation and Canva adoption across thousands of SMBs. In this dynamic role, you'll shape outbound strategies, refine coverage models, and champion SPICED methodology to fuel high-velocity growth in a collaborative, design-focused culture. You'll partner closely with Marketing, RevOps, Product, Customer Success, and leadership to align on territory planning, campaigns, and resource allocation. Your data-driven approach will identify operational gaps, scale processes and tooling, and deliver precise forecasting to build a world-class SMB revenue engine. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop high-performing SMB Outbound Account Executive teams across North America
  • Drive outbound sales strategy including coverage models, ICP targeting, segmentation, and outreach playbooks
  • Ensure excellence in pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and SPICED methodology adoption
  • Partner with Marketing, RevOps, Product, Customer Success, Growth, and Sales Leadership on territory planning and campaigns
  • Identify operational gaps and scale processes, tooling, workflows, and reporting for SMB revenue growth
  • Foster a collaborative, data-driven culture aligned with Canva's design-first mission
  • Analyze market insights to optimize SMB adoption of Canva's visual communication tools
  • Mentor team members to achieve quota attainment and career growth
  • Champion innovative sales practices that empower businesses to design visually
  • Monitor team performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of SaaS sales experience
  • 3+ years managing SMB or outbound sales teams
  • Proven track record leading high-performing sales teams in North America
  • Deep expertise in SPICED sales methodology and pipeline management
  • Strong forecasting accuracy and data-driven decision-making experience
  • Experience scaling sales processes, tooling, and workflows
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling into diverse North American markets
  • Background in design, creative, or visual communication tools
  • Familiarity with European markets or distributed sales teams
