About the Role

Join Canva's in-house Campaigns Team in Sydney as a Senior Campaigns Designer on a 3.5-month full-time contract starting January 2026. We're seeking an exceptional talent with strong conceptual thinking and impeccable craft to create world-class creative that brings Canva’s brand and products to life across global marketing moments. In our hybrid Sydney environment, you'll transform strategic insights into high-impact campaign ideas, executing beautifully across digital, social, OOH, experiential, and emerging channels while championing design excellence and brand consistency. You'll collaborate closely with Art Directors, Copywriters, Motion Designers, Producers, and cross-functional partners in Marketing, Growth, and Product Marketing. Your role will involve crafting visual systems for large-scale campaigns and product launches, guiding external partners, presenting with conviction, and elevating our team's creative standards. With expertise in Figma and Canva, you'll build cohesive narratives that scale globally, balancing bold ambition with practical production realities in our fast-paced, innovative culture. Key Responsibilities

  • Craft exceptional visual design for large-scale campaigns, product launches, and brand moments
  • Translate strategic insights into clear, compelling creative concepts and campaign systems
  • Develop and extend visual directions across digital, social, video, OOH, experiential, email, and internal comms
  • Partner with Art Directors and Creative Leads to shape visual direction and creative approaches
  • Guide designers, agencies, and production partners to ensure craft excellence in execution
  • Present work clearly, articulating design rationale and aligning with campaign objectives
  • Champion brand consistency and push campaigns to stand out memorably
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Growth, and Product Marketing teams to bring ideas to life
  • Contribute to evolving Canva’s campaign identity and elevating team design standards
  • Navigate ambiguity with proactive problem-solving and confident decision-making
  • Build cohesive visual narratives that scale across global markets and surfaces

Required Qualifications

  • Exceptional visual design craft with a portfolio demonstrating refined execution, strong storytelling, and brand-building experience
  • Proven experience concepting and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, OOH, experiential, and emerging channels
  • Deep understanding of platform-specific creative best practices for high-impact design in fast-moving digital environments
  • Strong collaboration skills with Art Directors, Copywriters, Motion Designers, and cross-functional teams
  • Expertise in Figma and proficiency in Canva required
  • Ability to balance creative ambition with practical production considerations for scalable, high-quality work
  • 5+ years of senior-level design experience in campaigns or brand marketing
  • Experience guiding designers, agencies, and production partners to maintain craft excellence
