  • Uncover creative insights about Affinity products and customers to drive strategic decisions
  • Design and execute impactful experiments that measurably improve key metrics
  • Build and maintain visually appealing, intuitive dashboards for product teams
  • Own end-to-end data projects, ensuring models and artefacts remain high-quality in hypergrowth
  • Query giant databases to solve deceptively complex business questions
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, design, community, and marketing teams
  • Extend data literacy and curiosity across Canva's cross-functional squads
  • Shape product decisions through actionable insights and strategic reporting
  • Optimise user funnels to enhance the creative experience in Affinity tools
  • Support Affinity's mission to empower professionals in photo editing, vector design, and layout

Required Qualifications

  • Strong competency with SQL for querying large datasets
  • Experience with data wrangling and analysis using Python or R
  • Demonstrated skills in optimising product funnels and running experiments
  • Proven ability to build effective dashboards that communicate results clearly
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to simplify complex topics
  • Experience owning data projects, models, and artefacts in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
  • Hands-on work with very large datasets at scale
  • Grounding in mathematics and statistics
  • Background in product analytics for creative or design-focused software
