Job Description

Senior Data Scientist - GPTN Region

Location: Team Engineering

Team: Country London / United Kingdom

About the Role

Join the team at Canva redefining how the world experiences design. We're seeking a Senior Data Scientist - GPTN Region to join our Engineering team in London, United Kingdom, on a full-time hybrid schedule. As the first dedicated analytics voice for our GPTN markets (Germany, Poland, Turkey, Netherlands), you'll shape data strategies that connect local user needs with Canva's global innovation. Based at our buzzing London campus in Shoreditch—Europe's HQ with collaborative spaces, home-cooked meals, and a vibrant community—you'll thrive in a culture that trusts Canvanauts to balance flexibility with impact. In this role, you'll craft compelling data stories that inspire action, proactively spot growth opportunities, and build dashboards tracking everything from user retention to campaign performance. Owning the GPTN data strategy end-to-end, you'll partner with marketing, product, and community teams to ensure local insights fuel global priorities—supporting experiments, A/B tests, and features that make design accessible across cultures. With Canva's design-focused ethos, your work will turn numbers into narratives that enhance creative experiences for millions. You'll bring strong SQL/Python skills, cross-functional partnership experience, and a strategic mindset to prioritize what moves the needle. Familiarity with our data stack (Looker, Snowflake, Mode, Netspring) is key, along with a bias for action in ambiguity. If you're passionate about building from scratch, localizing innovation, and collaborating in a fun, high-growth environment, join us to help Canva scale thoughtfully in Europe.
