Key Responsibilities

• Act as a solution expert across ML domains including evaluations, training, inference, data pipelines, quality, and optimisation
• Partner directly with product teams to navigate technical challenges and implement effective AI solutions
• Provide expert guidance on AI platform capabilities to help teams achieve efficient, scalable implementations
• Develop blueprints, patterns, and paved roads for proven ML approaches to accelerate team velocity
• Debug and resolve complex issues across the ML stack, sharing root cause learnings organisation-wide
• Balance hands-on problem-solving with strategic initiatives to scale enablement impact
• Optimise inference performance and serving infrastructure for production GenAI features
• Collaborate with researchers to bridge experimentation to reliable, design-focused production features
• Context-switch effectively across multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment
• Enable product teams to ship AI-powered design tools that delight millions of users

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Python with hands-on experience in ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Commercial experience working with Kubernetes (K8s) for deploying and scaling ML workloads
• Proven experience building and optimizing data pipelines for ML applications
• Strong knowledge of model evaluations, metrics, and validation techniques
• Experience with inference optimization, serving infrastructure, and performance tuning
• Track record of collaborating with research, data science, or product teams to deliver production ML systems
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in GenAI model deployment and fine-tuning at scale
• Familiarity with Canva's tech stack or similar design-focused AI platforms
• Prior work in enablement or platform teams supporting multiple ML projects
• Contributions to open-source ML projects or internal tooling
• Experience with MLOps practices and CI/CD for ML workflows
