As Canva expands its product suite for enterprise customers, you'll lead technical revenue accounting efforts, collaborating with global teams across the US, Australia, and Philippines to deliver a seamless quote-to-cash experience that fuels our mission to democratize design. Reporting to Finance Leadership, you'll provide expert guidance on complex revenue recognition under ASC 606, review enterprise contracts, and optimize processes to support our rapid growth. Your leadership will inspire a high-performing team, fostering Canva's collaborative culture where creative problem-solving meets rigorous accounting standards. You'll partner closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, and FP&A to build scalable systems, automate workflows, and produce insights that inform strategic decisions in our design-focused ecosystem. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical revenue accounting guidance for enterprise sales as Canva scales its innovative design platform
  • Review complex enterprise sales contracts ensuring ASC 606-compliant revenue recognition
  • Collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, and FP&A teams to streamline B2B revenue processes
  • Manage month-end close for enterprise sales, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries per US GAAP
  • Identify and implement process optimizations and automation in the quote-to-cash cycle
  • Work with SOX lead to document processes and establish key controls for compliance
  • Compile and analyze quote-to-cash metrics, delivering actionable insights and reports
  • Lead contract reviews and establish accounting policies supporting Canva's product evolution
  • Partner cross-functionally across US, Australia, and Philippines teams to deliver frictionless operations
  • Drive exceptional customer service to internal and external partners in a collaborative environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Deep technical knowledge of revenue recognition based on ASC 606 (US GAAP)
  • Proven experience in evaluating multi-element contracts and assessing new product offerings
  • Experience conducting technical accounting research and developing accounting policies
  • 5+ years in revenue accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or managerial role handling enterprise sales
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
  • Experience managing month-end close processes for complex revenue streams

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification
  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology company
  • Background in enterprise sales accounting for design or creative software platforms
  • Familiarity with quote-to-cash systems like Salesforce or similar
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
