Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical revenue accounting guidance for Canva's growing enterprise customer base and complex product offerings
  • Review enterprise sales contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606
  • Collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, Revenue Operations, and FP&A teams to maintain accurate B2B revenue recognition
  • Manage month-end close for enterprise sales, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries per US GAAP
  • Identify and implement process optimizations and automation in the quote-to-cash process
  • Work with SOX lead and Accounting team to document processes and establish key controls
  • Compile and analyze quote-to-cash data, delivering regular reports and insights to management
  • Support contract reviews, revenue recognition analysis, and policy development
  • Foster cross-functional partnerships to deliver frictionless quote-to-cash experiences
  • Drive scalable solutions that support Canva's rapid growth and innovative product expansions
  • Mentor team members to achieve high-performance goals in a collaborative environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Deep technical knowledge of revenue recognition based on ASC 606 (US GAAP)
  • Proven experience in evaluating multi-element contracts and assessing new product offerings
  • Experience conducting technical accounting research and developing accounting policies
  • 5+ years in revenue accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or managerial role focused on enterprise sales
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
  • Experience managing month-end close processes for complex revenue streams
  • Ability to collaborate across global teams in the US, Australia, and Philippines
