Our small, product-minded team balances platform development with dogfooding our own tools to ship core offline features like design creation and viewing. Key Responsibilities

• Build robust, performant frontend systems enabling Canva offline usage
• Design and develop a scalable offline platform empowering other Canva teams
• Identify core user pain points in poor network conditions and deliver solutions
• Bridge online/offline experiences for seamless multi-tiered network support
• Collaborate with product teams to implement offline features from MVP to production
• Dogfood offline tooling by building core experiences like design viewing/editing
• Optimize performance for millions of global Canva users in varied conditions
• Define architecture for offline capabilities across Canva's design platform
• Work cross-functionally to stage offline rollout for key user flows
• Champion user-centric performance in all offline platform decisions

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building scalable frontend solutions for diverse user bases
• Strong understanding of the full web stack with deep frontend and browser expertise
• Proven track record of solving complex, ambiguous problems with practical solutions
• Experience delivering high-performance web applications focused on user needs
• Ability to collaborate across teams to build platform-level infrastructure
• Demonstrated passion for web performance optimization and user-centric design
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment like Canva's scaling platform

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with browser Cache APIs and Service Workers for PWAs
• Background building offline-first applications or progressive web apps
• Familiarity with Canva's design ecosystem or similar creative tools
• Experience dogfooding platform tools to build end-user features
• Knowledge of multi-tiered network experiences and offline syncing
