Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with hiring managers and cross-functional teams to define and execute hiring strategies for CJKI region
  • Source and attract diverse talent using multiple channels and creative approaches tailored to local markets
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for roles across all functions, with focus on China Technology team
  • Deliver exceptional candidate experiences, acting as a brand ambassador for Canva's creative culture
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes, leveraging data and insights to drive decisions
  • Ensure compliance with local hiring laws and cultural best practices across China, Japan, Korea, India
  • Coach hiring managers on best practices and influence strategic hiring decisions
  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives in China and CJKI region
  • Build diverse candidate pipelines that reflect Canva's commitment to inclusion
  • Collaborate with global People teams to balance regional nuance with Canva's unified culture

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in end-to-end recruitment, preferably in high-growth or tech environments
  • Deep understanding of the Chinese talent market, with strong sourcing strategies tailored to local platforms and talent behaviours
  • Strong communication skills, fluent in Mandarin and proficient in English
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills – trusted advisor who can influence hiring decisions
  • Experience recruiting for a mix of roles – including technical, product, marketing, sales
  • Data-driven mindset – uses metrics to drive improvements and guide decision-making
  • Passion for diversity, equity and inclusion – builds inclusive hiring processes

Preferred Qualifications
