We're looking for an SEO Lead, Vietnam to spearhead our expansion into one of Southeast Asia's most dynamic digital markets. Based in Ho Chi Minh City with a flexible hybrid model, you'll lead all aspects of SEO for Vietnam-specific pages on canva.com, building a high-performing local team to drive us from 4.35% to 8-10% market penetration in just 2-3 years. Supported by global experts and cutting-edge tools like Ahrefs, SEMRush, and our in-house platforms, you'll craft strategies that blend local insights with Canva's innovative design ethos. In this leadership role, you'll develop comprehensive SEO strategies across technical optimisation, localised content creation, and targeted link building, while becoming the go-to expert on Vietnam's search landscape. You'll recruit and develop a team of SEO generalists, content specialists, and outreach pros, collaborating seamlessly with global marketing, product, and localisation teams. Key Responsibilities

• Lead Canva's SEO expansion in Vietnam to achieve 8-10% market penetration within 2-3 years
• Build and manage a high-performing local SEO team including specialists in content, technical SEO, and outreach
• Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategy covering technical, content, link building, and localisation
• Conduct competitive intelligence and become the expert in Vietnam's search landscape for design niches
• Collaborate with global SEO, content, and localisation teams to optimise Vietnam-specific pages
• Oversee technical site health monitoring and link-building campaigns using enterprise tools
• Define market-specific KPIs, monitor performance, and deliver actionable insights through reporting
• Prioritise content opportunities based on impact analysis for Vietnamese users
• Drive continuous optimisation aligned with Canva's global goals and innovative design culture
• Foster team growth through strategic hiring, development, and retention in a scaling market

Required Qualifications

• Native Vietnamese speaker with business-level English proficiency
• Proven track record leading SEO projects on large websites (500+ pages)
• Deep understanding of all SEO pillars: technical, content, and link building
• Experience building and scaling high-performing SEO teams
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in SEO performance metrics and KPIs
• Hands-on experience with enterprise SEO tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMRush)
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute multi-year market expansion strategies
