As an SMB Account Executive (DACH) in our Sales & Success team, you'll be the driving force behind Canva's growth in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, helping SMBs unlock creativity with our intuitive platform, Magic Studio AI, and Enterprise tools. Based in our buzzing London campus in Shoreditch – Europe's HQ with leafy vibes, home-cooked meals, and collaborative spaces – you'll own a targeted book of DACH prospects. Run full sales cycles using SPICED methodology: outbound via phone/email, qualify opportunities, demo Canva's transformative power for sales, marketing, and design teams, negotiate, and close deals. Key Responsibilities

  • Own a targeted book of SMB prospects in the DACH region and run end-to-end sales cycles from initial outreach to close
  • Conduct outbound sales activities to identify, prospect, and engage SMB clients via phone, email, and other channels
  • Develop deep understanding of SMB customers' needs, pain points, and objectives to tailor Canva's design solutions
  • Present Canva's value proposition, showcasing how our platform empowers design at scale for marketing, sales, and brand teams
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with SMB clients through regular communication and exceptional service
  • Collaborate with Sales & Success, Marketing, and Product teams to optimise sales processes and customer experiences
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, including monthly quotas, conversion rates, and pipeline growth metrics
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline in CRM systems
  • Leverage SPICED methodology to qualify opportunities, uncover customer value, and drive repeatable sales motions
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and Canva product developments to position us effectively

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in outbound sales or account management roles, preferably in B2B or SMB-focused environment
  • Strong sales acumen with excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Results-oriented mindset with passion for driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Familiarity with CRM and outreach software (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach.io, Sales Navigator, Gong)
  • Fluent in German
  • Experience running full sales cycles from outbound prospecting to close

  • Prior experience in the tech industry or SaaS sales
  • Experience working specifically with SMB clients
  • Knowledge of the DACH market and regional business dynamics
