As a Talent Acquisition Partner, Contingent Workforce (12 Month Contract) based in Sydney, Australia, you'll join our vibrant People team to scale our International and Marketing organizations with top contractors and freelancers across APAC and SEA. Reporting to the contingent workforce lead, you'll partner with design, creative, and marketing leaders to understand their needs and deliver exceptional talent pipelines that fuel Canva's innovative product experiences. In this dynamic role, you'll own end-to-end recruitment for specialized roles like designers, creative leads, and marketers. You'll craft innovative sourcing strategies that go beyond LinkedIn—tapping into global networks, creative platforms, and niche communities to attract passive talent. Championing diversity and cross-cultural nuances, you'll hire with speed and quality in new markets, while providing strategic guidance to stakeholders on best practices. Every interaction will showcase Canva's collaborative culture, empowering candidates to envision themselves creating magic with our design platform. You'll thrive by leveraging data to refine processes, delivering outstanding candidate experiences, and acting as Canva's brand ambassador. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for contingent workforce roles across APAC and SEA, focusing on designers, creatives, and marketers
  • Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent for design and creative teams
  • Partner closely with International and Marketing stakeholders to understand evolving hiring needs
  • Lead global hiring initiatives, adapting to local cultures and markets for speed and quality
  • Provide guidance on contractor and freelancer best practices to hiring managers
  • Champion exceptional candidate experiences by sharing Canva's story, vision, and culture
  • Leverage data to optimize contingent hiring processes and drive efficiency
  • Build diverse pipelines through creative sourcing and engagement of passive talent
  • Act as a brand ambassador, connecting candidates to the magic of working at Canva
  • Research and implement new tools, networks, and databases for talent discovery

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced recruitment role with a track record of hiring top design, creative, or marketing talent
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment for contingent workforce including contractors and freelancers
  • Demonstrated ability to hire globally across APAC and SEA markets with speed and quality
  • Strong partnerships with hiring managers in design, creative, and marketing functions
  • Experience creating hiring processes from scratch and providing strategic guidance on contingent hiring
  • Commitment to diversity hiring and building teams with varied perspectives and backgrounds
  • Data-driven approach to improving recruitment processes and candidate experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience sourcing passive talent beyond traditional job boards using creative platforms and networks
