📋 Job Overview
Capgemini Engineering is seeking an experienced Android Platform Software Engineer specializing in HMI for infotainment and multimedia systems. The role involves defining and documenting platform-level requirements across Android framework services, middleware, and HAL interactions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications. 🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Define platform-level requirements that span Android framework services, middleware layers, and HAL interactions
- Create and maintain detailed System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) and Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) documents following industry best practices
- Gather, define, document, and maintain system and software requirements for Android platform features
- Work closely with product managers, architects, and QA to translate business and system-level needs into detailed technical requirements
- Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, system architects, and stakeholders to gather and interpret functional and non-functional requirements
- Apply scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems
- Responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge in research, design, development and maintenance
- Exercise original thought and judgement and supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers
- Build skills and expertise in software engineering discipline to reach standard expectations
- Collaborate and act as a team player with other software engineers and stakeholders
✅ Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication Technology or a comparable qualification
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in Infotainment/Multimedia
