Finance Controller

📋 Job Overview

The Finance Controller role at Capgemini Engineering involves managing financial reporting, analysis, and compliance processes to support business operations. Key responsibilities include preparing P&L and KPI summaries, conducting variance analyses, and handling month-end activities using tools like HFM and ERP systems. This position requires strong analytical skills and experience in FP&A to lead teams and drive financial insights for stakeholders.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare reports and schedules for actuals, analysis and provide reports to COE team for upload in HFM
  • Analyse the P&L and KPIs
  • Work with COE on data uploads from GFS to HFM and its validations
  • Prepare monthly P&L and KPI summary
  • Conduct variance analysis month on month, quarter on quarter
  • Responsible for book close process and month end activities
  • Assist controllers in analysing the margins for customers and projects
  • Create ISOW’s and pass entries for cost recoveries
  • Perform actuals vs forecast and budget variance analysis on costs with detailed breakdown, challenge actuals as needed
  • Prepare and analyse various management Dashboards and manage discussions around Dashboard analysis with Business leaders
  • Work on Intercompany transactions and ensure no outstanding inventory on all internal projects
  • Validate and complete Contractual / Internal SOW compliance, invoicing, posting of cost recovery / cross charge entries
  • Prepare accounting entries for accruals etc. as needed monthly
  • Legal entity reporting and reconciliations (including PL3 reconciliation)

  • Hands on experience in reporting / FP&A domain and processes
  • Experience in Corporate Finance
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with Oracle ERP
  • Experience with Business Objects
  • Good understanding of IFRS
  • Experienced in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, P&L management

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Hyperion
  • Knowledge of data cubes
  • Knowledge of Power BI tools
  • MIS experience
