📋 Job Overview
As a Datacom Developer at Capgemini in Chennai, you will develop and integrate advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols for high-performance routing and switching platforms. 🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop features for Ethernet VPN (EVPN), Segment Routing (SR-MPLS, SRv6), and Traffic Engineering (SR-TE)
- Implement and optimize L2/L3 protocol stacks in embedded systems
- Work on control plane and forwarding plane development for routers and switches
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate, test, and debug networking protocols
- Contribute to the development of scalable routing architectures and network security features
- Integrate third-party SDKs and work with platforms such as Metaswitch
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field
- 6–8 years of experience in telecom or product-based companies
- Strong programming skills in C (primary) and C++ (secondary)
- Hands-on experience with Linux-based development environments
