The Power BI Developer role at Capgemini involves designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports to deliver actionable insights for clients. 🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Implement data modeling techniques including star and snowflake schemas
- Optimize performance of Power BI reports using best practices (e.g., using measures over calculated columns, import mode over direct query)
- Apply Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage user access based on business requirements
- Configure and manage Power BI Gateway for secure data refresh from on-premise sources
- Work with various data sources including SQL Server, Excel, CSV, and SSIS
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights
✅ Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Power BI relationships, cardinality, and data modeling
- Experience with DAX functions including RANKX, calculated columns, and measures
- Knowledge of incremental data refresh and dynamic filtering using parameters
- Familiarity with disconnected tables and bridge tables for handling complex relationships
- Exposure to workspace governance and deployment pipelines
