Overview

We are looking for a creative, analytical Marketing Manager to lead the Direct Mail marketing strategy efforts for our Retail Bank division. This role will drive a roadmap focused on the Direct Mail channel to accelerate our marketing efforts and be a critical contributor to a rapidly growing marketing program. You will be a leading voice aligned to the channel and you will work closely with internal & external partners to drive growth, pulling many different levers to grow the program (channel innovation, optimization strategies, audiences, creative, landing experience, customer journey, etc.).This highly visible, strategic leadership role will focus on scaling Direct Mail strategies across the Bank brand and portfolio of products, fueling business growth. This lead will oversee the development, execution & optimizations of the Direct Mail strategies in partnership with partner teams. They will also partner on the testing roadmaps to maximize channel performance to scale continued growth. In addition, this lead will be responsible for building a vision and long term roadmap for the continued growth and success of this marketing channel.The ideal candidate will have proven experience translating performance data into actionable Direct Mail marketing strategies, navigating matrixed organizations, managing significant goals focused on business outcomes and working with internal partners to see their vision through to market. To be successful, the Direct Mail lead will need to thrive working in white space, building powerful cross-functional relationships and turning analytics into actionable marketing strategies. Responsibilities:
  • Lead prioritization, development and execution of a strategic marketing agenda to attract, engage, and convert prospects & current customers through Direct Mail marketing

  • Drive testing strategies to inform targeting, creative, & landing page optimization that engage consumers and drive business results.

  • Oversee the Direct Mail channel strategy ensuring the strategy is aligned to business priorities and campaigns are efficient and effective 

  • Steward the maintenance and monitoring of channel efforts with internal team members & partners

  • Keep pace with industry trends and best practices to drive channel innovation

  • Act as a go-to Direct Mail expert for internal teams, democratizing insights and learnings

  • Introduce new opportunities to drive business growth in an efficient & profitable manner

  • Ideal candidate will have the following skills:
  • Is obsessed with Direct Mail and direct marketing in general

  • Can quickly flex their thinking across the customer journey from awareness, consideration, conversion and brand loyalty

  • Loves to leverage data to tell stories and uncover actionable insights

  • Thrives on the opportunity to lead and build in white space, collaboration and the drive for results

  • Is able to craft a succinct vision and roadmap for their subject matter areas and lead their teams through prioritization of their work to meet business goals and make progress against the channel roadmaps

  • Is able to break a strategy down into a testing plan that accelerates momentum and drives learnings to make their channels more impactful

  • Is a collaborative team player, able to effectively communicate with their team and partners as well as leadership and stakeholders with a tailored approach for all

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

  • At least 5 years experience in Direct Mail marketing

  • At least 5 years of experience in segmentation & targeting across prospect and current customer bases for acquisition goals

  • At least 5 years of experience with marketing analytics and optimization

  • At least 5 years experience managing budgets

  • At least 5 years of experience in Direct Mail creative strategy & execution

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of channel experience in marketing channels &  landing page optimization programs focused on acquisition goals

  • 3+ years of marketing experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry

  • 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
