Overview

The Senior Associate will work on a cross-functional program team supporting the Operations Management functions within the Capital Resilience Analytics (CRA) team. The Senior Associate will support a variety of functions related to our capital adequacy processes, including federal stress testing. The scope will primarily include project management, documentation development, and systems and data management. In addition, the Senior Associate will support developing new project plans to support other team enhancements or remediation efforts.The role will require strong communication and leadership abilities to work with other financial analysts and project managers with a wide variety of backgrounds, skill sets, and project goals. The Senior Associate should demonstrate innovation, conceptual thinking, and management abilities as they support broader capital planning efforts and interact with Audit, our lines of defense, Finance, forecasting teams, and technology counterparts.  Within the role, the Senior Associate will have the opportunity to broaden their understanding of high level capital planning processes for the company and assist with critical reporting functions.Responsibilities:
  • Manage third line engagement throughout the stress testing life cycle, including pre-cycle preparation, timely fulfillment of requests throughout the stress testing cycle, and overseeing post-cycle remediation activities

  • Support Capital One’s response to the First Day Letter and Horizontal Capital Exam issued by the Federal Reserve Board, as well as the OCC’s DFAST Exam

  • Support data management and validation activities throughout the execution of the annual stress test

  • Execute horizontal project work to drive improvements and efficiencies to Capital One’s stress testing operations management group and overall process

  • Manage projects across teams, including close partnership throughout initial planning activities, leading teams through execution, and ensuring timely closure to deliver enhancements and new capabilities

  • Identify and manage program risks, serve as escalation to resolve program issues, help remove roadblocks, and manage dependencies across projects

  • Manage the Adobe Workfront system in partnership with the Enterprise team, on behalf of the CCAR Program

  • Contribute to continuous improvement across the team

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in Financial Services, Audit, Project Management, Risk Management, or a combination

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in audit, compliance, risk management, project management, or a combination

  • At least 3 years of experience in finance risk management, corporate treasury capital markets functions, or a combination

  • At least 3 years of experience in financial services
