Drive and support regulatory policy analysis and policy advocacy efforts for Legal in partnership with Legal colleagues, GEA, and other key stakeholders.
Coordinate with colleagues in the Legal Department and GEA to analyze legislation, proposed regulations and other policy developments, and to develop and advance advocacy strategies.
Engage with industry trade associations in support of Capital One’s strategic priorities.
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing of at least one state bar
At least 3 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency
At least 5 years of federal financial services legal counsel experience
At least 5 years of experience supporting integrated projects or programs where senior leaders and external stakeholders are your customers, including communicating highly sensitive information and allocating resources in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Ability to manage a large volume of work, including complex legal issues that may arise suddenly
80,000 - 135,000 USD / yearly
