Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives.
  • Coach teams in Agile principles, SAFe practices, and Built-In Quality (BIQ) standards.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and TPMs to ensure backlog readiness and continuous value delivery.
  • Proactively identify and remove impediments, reducing decision latency.
  • Track and report sprint metrics including velocity, quality, and progress using Azure DevOps.
  • Ensure compliance with Caterpillar’s architecture, coding standards, and security protocols.
  • Coordinate with DevOps and system architects for CI/CD deployments across environments.
  • Support change management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment.

Skills & Experience

Business Analysis – Extensive Experience

  • 5+ years as Scrum Master or Agile Coach in onboard software or embedded systems domains.
  • Strong understanding of C++, Linux, multi-threading, IPC, and embedded validation practices.
  • Experience with tools: Azure DevOps, GIT, Jenkins, Docker.
  • Familiarity with CAN, J1939 protocols and vector tools (Canalyzer, Canoe).
  • Certifications: SAFe (RTE, Advanced Scrum Master, Leading SAFe) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coaching skills.

Decision Making & Critical Thinking – Extensive Experience

  • Differentiates assumptions, perspectives, and historical frameworks.
  • Evaluates past decisions for insights to improve processes.
  • Predicts impact of decision options and advises others on alternatives.
  • Applies consultative, command, or consensus-based approaches.

Effective Communication – Extensive Experience

  • Reviews and coaches on writing and presentations.
  • Adapts documents for intended audiences.
  • Demonstrates empathy and assertiveness in communication.
  • Communicates effectively across all organizational levels.

Program Management & Execution – Extensive Experience

  • Lead end-to-end program lifecycle across multiple teams and geographies.
  • Design and implement scalable workflows and templates for program governance.
  • Align program goals with business outcomes and customer value.
  • Drive data-informed decisions to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Researches tools for monitoring product efficacy.

Onboard Software Engineering – Working Knowledge

  • Identifies considerations for integration across multiple platforms and systems.
  • Works with development or delivery of onboard software components.
  • Describes phases, activities, and deliverables for embedded software methodologies.
  • Understands design practices and technologies for embedded systems.

Software Problem Management – Working Knowledge

  • Tracks and resolves common software issues.
  • Documents resolution progress and escalates unusual problems.

Software Product Business Knowledge – Extensive Experience

  • Participates in installations and customizations.
  • Maintains product usage data and assesses opportunities for improvement.
