Move beyond compiling data and help tell the story behind the numbers. This position offers the opportunity to lead investment analysis and period cost reporting/forecasting for the Large Mining Trucks (LMT) Business. You will partner with project managers, engineers, marketing professionals, and senior leadership to conduct investment analysis, critical for decision making and project prioritization.

What You Will Do:

• Perform discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis using probabilistic modeling
• Forecast, report and analyze period cost of sales, SG&A, and R&D for the product group
• Monitor of program spending for stakeholder reporting and variance analysis
• Implement improvements and efficiencies in financial analysis and reporting processes

• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
• Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

What Will Set You Apart:

• Education/Experience: 4-year degree in accounting or a related field; 2+ years of accounting/finance experience
• Initiative, business acumen, intellectual curiosity, and leadership skills
• Proven positive results in customer service and business partnering
• Experience with discounted cashflow analysis
• Knowledge of using tools such as Syntellis Axiom EPM, SAP Business Objects (BOBJ), SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), Excel

Additional Information:

• Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
• The preferred location for this role is Caterpillar’s Tucson Mining Center in Tucson, AZ. However, we are open to considering applicants wanting to work from a Caterpillar facility in the following locations Peoria, IL; or Decatur, IL
• Sponsorship is NOT available

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
